This ArcRest Shoulder Rest* Full Set was created for larger violas 16 inches & up. The base is 5 inches long (the violin/viola model is  4 inches long). Four interchangeable pads of various heights are included to help you discover your perfect fit; a great item for the teaching studio!
The design of the ArcRest was inspired by great players of the 20th century who balanced the violin on three points: the collarbone, the jaw, and the hand. Unlike other shoulder rests, the ArcRest does not disturb the natural relationship between the instrument and the player. The violin is not elevated, but sits in its natural position on the collarbone, supported by the ArcRest.Â
